About the Role
As a Search Engine Optimization Executive (SEOE), you will play a critical role in driving organic growth and visibility for our clients’ digital assets. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and manage off-page SEO strategies that enhance our clients’ search engine rankings and overall online presence. You will work closely with project leads and team leaders to ensure that all off-page SEO activities are executed effectively and on schedule. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying website issues, building high-quality backlinks, and maintaining the integrity of our clients’ backlink profiles.
Job summary
The SEO Executive (SEOE) is responsible for executing off-page SEO strategies to achieve our clients’ desired search engine rankings. This includes managing the creation and acquisition of high-quality backlinks, monitoring and reporting on SEO performance, and addressing any issues that may arise. The role requires a proactive approach to handle client escalations promptly and ensure that all deliverables are met within set deadlines. The SEO Executive (SEOE) will also be responsible for maintaining detailed records of off-page activities and login details, ensuring that all SEO tasks are thoroughly documented and reported.
- Off-Page SEO Management: Execute comprehensive off-page SEO strategies to enhance website rankings.
- Link Building: Build high-quality, unique backlinks from websites with high domain authority (DA) and low spam scores (SS).
- Backlink Profile Maintenance: Regularly remove toxic backlinks in collaboration with project leads(PL) and team leaders (TL).
- Position Monitoring: Conduct rank checks and provide detailed performance reports within deadlines.
- Monthly Backlink Analysis: Pull data from SEMrush (and other digital marketing tools) and Google Search Console for monthly/periodic analysis.
- Client Action Plan: Check the backlink counts monthly and ensure actions are completed according to the agreed client action plan.
- Issue Identification: Identify and address website issues on a weekly basis to ensure optimal performance.
- Client Communication: Take prompt action to resolve client escalations and maintain client satisfaction.
- Quality Standards: Maintain high quality standards for all client deliverables to ensure they meet or exceed client expectations.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual reports on off-page SEO activities and performance. Share these reports with Project Leads (PL) for review, strategic planning and sharing with clients.
- Documentation: Maintain consolidated off-page SEO reports and detailed records of all off-page activities and login details.
- Project Load: Manage a minimum of 6 client projects simultaneously.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with all internal stakeholders to ensure client deliverables are completed within the agreed budget and timelines.
- Ideas and Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas for process improvement and solving business problems, ensuring continuous enhancement of SEO strategies and operations.
- Formal Communication: All formal communication is to be conducted via email, and all emails are to be promptly replied to.
- Task Management: All tasks assigned in Zoho Projects are to be completed, and Zoho Projects must be used fully to ensure proper task management and tracking.
- Feedback Management: Actively solicit feedback from Head of Digital Operations (HODO), SEO Managers (SEOM), Assistant SEO Manager (ASEOM), Senior SEO Manager (SSEOM), SEO Team Lead(s) (SEOTLs), SEO Project Lead(s) (SEOPL) and Senior Leadership members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal teams, including MoMs, scheduling meetings, and follow-ups. Utilize Zoho Cliq for real-time communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Follow-up communication: Must respond in a timely manner to all stakeholder emails and Zoho Cliq messages. Communication must be professional with all stakeholders.
- Ad hoc Tasks: Willingly undertake any other tasks as assigned by the SEO Project Lead (SEOPL) or SEO Team Lead (SEOTL) or SEO Managers (SEOM) or Assistant SEO Manager (ASEOM) / Senior SEO Manager (SSEOM) to support overall team objectives.
You are the right fit, if you have
- Educational Background: A degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in SEO, with a focus on off-page optimization. Fresher (or) with 1 year of experience can apply. Completion of a Digital Marketing course (3 months+) (or) a minimum internship duration of 2 months will be considered for freshers.
- Certifications: SEO certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot SEO Certification) are a plus.
- Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying updated with the latest SEO trends and best practices.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, and other relevant platforms.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills to identify website issues, analyze backlink profiles, and assess the effectiveness of SEO strategies.
- Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting and monitoring SEO performance.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines for all SEO activities, including rank checking and backlink building.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact SEO performance.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing SEO trends and client requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with project leads, team leaders, and other stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- Client Focus: A proactive approach to managing client expectations and resolving escalations promptly to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
